| Thanks Mario
And yeah I dont think I want to get into coilovers for this reason alone. I think it would be a huge waste to get a nice coilover setup, then have to ditch it for the air.
I just wonder what the cost of upkeep and such is on an air setup.

| if you run all your air lines and what not the right way the first time it wont be that much.
i know people who rarely if ever have problems with their air systems because they did it right...

| I wouldn't plan on it, but define "abuse" LOL
and I would not be doing the install myself. I lack the tools to do this. I have the mechanical aptitude to do this, I just dont have the tools and work space (I have a garage NOW, but I dont know if I will later. SO I will more than likely leave this to someone who has done this before)

| not hitting your bags when your driving will help a lot. lol. if you use your bags basically for shows to have it dumped then you'll have less problems. i know your probably thinking that your not gonna hit your bags but everyone does that when they first get em. lol. | |

| Are those the wheels you are sticking with? If so then build around them. If not then get the wheels you are wanting and then start building. Since the wheels are so different in stance, that is going to determine what suspension you use. For example if you go for a wide stance, then you do not want to go with a spring that you are going to rub on all the time. Overall the wheels usually set the mark on which way you are heading with the vehicle.
For example. A chrome large wheel usually doesnt fit the racing look.
There is alot of examples of bad ass 2nd gens out there to take some ideas from and make your own. That is a hard color to work with, but I think you can pull it off and make it look really cool.

| I don't think I will be sticking with those wheels. MAYBE for daily driving, but not at the shows. I see your point though about choosing the wheels, that seems to be MOST important and the biggest influence in how the vehicle looks overall.
I think I might need to pick your brain a little as far as suspension and wheel/tire combos go next time I see you. I'm still relatively new to this stuff, so I need to gather more info as far as offset and really just checking out what looks good.
Thanks! | |
