Painting my Rims

Does anyone know of a shop in the 909 that can paint the lip of my rims the same color (Black) as the actual rim?? The lip is nickle chrome, but I want to Black them out... Any help would be great..

I know of someone that does powdercoating and since it's just the llips he might charge you cheap, let me know if you're interested in Powdercoating.

you cant just powdercoat the lips, you will have to powder the whole wheel and repaint the face.

^Why not? He could just mask off the parts he doesnt want powdercoat. I would recommend he get the whole wheel powdercoated though since he will probably charge cheaper. he would probably charge 120-140 for the whole wheel including the barrel but will charge extra to mask parts off.

every powder coater told us you cant just do the lip. I dont know the exact reasoning behind it, but thats what they will tell him.

that sounds weird, when i had mine done, there was a section i couldnt powdercoat,where the lip bolts up to the center, and he masked it off. everything was powdercoated except that section.

My wheels are completely powdercoated. Why could you not powder coat a wheel?

Yea they should be able to mask it off. when i had a couple of frames powdercoated, they maskedoff the threads and all the areas where the joints connected with this thick clear green masking stuff

A reputable shop should be able to do this.

Everythings powdercoated on mine except the lips and the centercaps.

powder coating is always the best bet and i would just get the entire wheel powdercoated instead of just doing the lip.

or

you could just paint your lip/rims yourself like i did Very Happy

140 for all 4 wheels? I'd just powdercoat the whole thing so you know it'll match. (:

Yeah, thats a good price, we paid $120 for all four wheels to paint the lips.
