| i dont think the offset really matters when picking out a tire, just the width. i may be wrong tho | |

The offset is the distance the center of the rim is from the hub. This has nothing to do with how wide the actuall rim is. 235's i like. Any wider? 245? Any rubbing issues?

| i was just thinking that a tire could rub like crazy if is pretty sunken in. if the wheel is sitting pretty flush then you would have more clearance on the inside. | |

| Thats why i gotta have a decent offset like 40 or so. Also might have to get rubber bands (skinny tires). Maybe.
So many options! | |

| Here's SOME more useful INfo!! So many questions. So I made this. Offset The offset of a wheel is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel to the true centerline of the rim. A positive offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is positioned in front of the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This in effect brings the tire in to the fender well more. Conversely, a negative offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is behind the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This will cause the tire to stick out away from the vehicle. To compare the effects of changing the offset and width of your wheels use the Wheel Calculator: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp | |

| IF your want a Lip on a wheel your need a 40 or Lower Offset!!!
IF you do NOT want a LIp like mine you must Go 40 or above for offset!

| So I have decided on the 006's in 17 by 7 or 7.5 with 40 offset. Tires will be Falken Ziex 912 (offcourse) that are 225/35/17. How is this? | |

| For a 17x7.5 wheel, a 215/40-17 is the tire size that matches the OEM rolling diameter. | |
