| if you just want a subtle drop and wont break the bank get Teins. S techs are anywhere from $135 to $150. Progress and other companies are a bit more, but thats up to you. 90% of Scion people are running Teins because of 2 things. 1 is because its the trendy thing to do and 2 is that they are affordable and the company is just plain known worldwide.
If you dont want to spend $1000+ on coilovers, forget all this mumbo jumbo bullshit above. Im just saying

| I put a shitload of miles on my k sports, now efrain's puttin another shitload more and still runnin fine last I heard. Plus you can rebuild them for under 200. Try doing that with Tein, HKS, KW, Zeal, etc. coilovers. He said he didn't want to spend that much, from what I've seen you're better off getting a set of K sport, Megan, D2, Progress coilovers than a set of lowered springs/struts. You can only go 2 inches max on springs alone without cutting them. Not gonna say there haven't been people with bad results from K Sport or other non-expensive brands but there are so many variables (how you drive, how many miles, etc.) that you need to take into consideration. | |

| I say go with springs if you have never had a car that is lowered.
Coilovers are super rough on TC's. I am guessing that this car is a daily driver. You might not enjoy the ride.
As for the Ksport's yes there have been issues (with TC's) with noise and all that mess. Also the installation is not as straight-forward as it should be. My 2 cents.

Also realize... coil-overs will ride Rougher than a Spring/Strut Combo too.... Take that consideration.

Not when you dont get all the parts you need and have to fabricate from your OEM setup to make it work.

| coilovers are stiff yes. if you get multi adjusting ones you can dampen or stiffen the ride. they are easy to install easier than springs | |

| You xB people have to know that is a little different with the Suspenion Set-ups! xB's doesnt have Double-Wishbone Suspenion all-around like the tC. The Cheaper Coil-overs maybe work well for a little bit..Then turn to Crap as in Hearing Unusual noise while going over BUmps etc... There are Countless threads about that issue on SL etc... So If you get coil-overs for the tC I would invest in a Higher Quality as in B&G,KW, Magic ITC...or evne the Higher End TIEN's..(not the TEIN basics) Thats just My Own Opinion. | |
