| This is one of the most important decisions you can make darwin, wheels can make or break a build. What are your future plans for mods? | |

| well for now i think just do headliner and paint a couple of interior pieces, but for future like in a yr or two i want to get the whole front visor and body kit, but im waiting to see if they develope a bigger front visor, instead of the one they got now that just looks likes a little kid haircut. lol.
I also messaged cionide on SL, and he told me that the 512 will not fit no matter what with a drop, so i asked him about the 504's and he said that the 504 will fit no problem and all i would have to do is to maybe roll my fenders.

| Yeah those will fit, they are 18x8 +32, they will probably be like the one's you currently have. The 512s are 18x8 +15, I'm wondering why they wouldn't fit. I don't think that guy really knows what he's talking about. Let me ask on bbsquad, maybe someone knows. | |

| well this is what me and that guy discussed on SL.....
DSPEEDY69: ive been reading on the xxr 512, i really like them, but im still not clear if i will rub or not, im dropped on df210, if i were to get them would i rub no matter what size tire i get? or either if i get 17, or 18? or what about the xxr 504's? just thought i would ask you since it seems that you know alot about this, im also just thinking about using this for show only wheels. any help would be appreciated.
CIONIDE: Fist of all, rubbing/fitment is a product of wheel width, offset, and tire size. The wheel diameter doesn't matter because you just get a lower profile tire to make up for larger diameter wheels.
CIONIDE: The 512's come in either 17x8 or 18x8, both with +15 offset. Even if you run 215/45-17 or 215/40-18 stretched tires, these will rub on DF springs due to the extremely low offset. I've only seen people pull off these wheels with no drop, and it looks really stupid with the xB all jacked up and the wheels & tires sticking out 3/4" past the fenders. Don't do it.
CIONIDE: The 504's come in 18x8 with +32 offset. With 215/40-18 tires, you will be fine in the rear, and the worst case up front would be a little fender rolling, but I'm pretty sure that won't be necessary. You will also be flush with the fenders, which looks really great.

| He's wrong, you won't be flush with the fenders with 504s, you'll be tucked. 18x8 +32 is maybe 5mm less than what you currently are and they are nowhere near flush. I just posted up on bbsquad, I trust those guys over anybody on SL. Put it this way, if your current setup is +38, which is what i'm guessing based on what it looks, and the 512's are +15, all you need to do is measure 23mm out from the current lip. That is where the 512s should be at. 23mm is less than an inch. I think you have enough clearance for it but we better be sure. | |

| I thin either is good, the ones with black might look better because of the color of your car. | |

| i say the ones with black also. thats weird that the 512s wont work since xxr uses a 2nd gen in their catalog for the 512s. how low are you? | |

| well what i read on SL about the people who want to sport the 512 is that if you are drop then you will rub alot, they also said that the photo on the xxr website is a fake or photo shoped. | |

| I don't believe it, I don't think they would photoshop it Alot of the people on SL tend to run very conservative offsets and don't like to spend the money it takes to roll your fenders. The thing is those wheels come in 2 offsets, +15 or +0. They could have seen someone with a +0 offset which i think is still doable. I'm awaiting a response on bbsquad but if you're doing the 504s you can always get spacers to sit more flush. | |

| If the 512's are what you want, I can bet there's a way to run them. Hub spacers will keep em from rubbing on the suspension, & you can run stretched tires & roll your fenders to keep em from rubbing. I'd wait to see what the bbsquad guys have to say. Or contact the guys at XXR for advice, even...//TJ | |
