Gauges for my A pillar pod

Subject: Gauges for my A pillar pod Thu Jul 23, 2009 1:53 pm

So i scooped up a triple a pillar pod from da homie Mike (nyomouth) and already got it wrapped so now i gotta look for gauges. I saw a 3 piece set at Autozone yesterday but asking if anyone know some good prices and also will be looking for help with this install. Let me know.

what gauges will you be running? oil temp? water temp? etc

hit up big aka greenguyshrek. he's done a few gauge installs. he should know whats easier and what takes some work.

What about actually finding a place that has gauges that won't be an arm and leg?

hit up Big J for a set. My recommendations are:

air/fuel/ratio (AFR)
Water temp
Oil Pressure

AFR is worthless IMO. i would do water temp, oil pressure, and voltage

i would go water temp, volts, and oil pressure like mario said. i have water temp, oil temp, volts, and oil pressure.

Thats what i'm doin.

I say like a 3 pack at autozone for like 40 bucks. Should they be ok?

Dang you pull that one out yo ass. Nice. I dont know nothing about gauges. So i guess I should expect to pay about 80 per gauge and possible instalation.

you'll also need the fittings for each one.

the pieces that tap into your radiator hose and oil pan.

Personally, I wouldn't get a gauges unless I was boosted, or was seriously N/A'ed. But that's just me. Good luck man.

Yeah just for display purposes. Dont see too many TC's with this in Socal.

if they are for display purposes then are you really gonna bother to install them all the way and make them actually work?
