| Clay barring is easy crispy, mainly follow the package instructions. Try and do this in a garage if you can, you dont want to die in the sun. I use the mothers clay bar but the technique is the same. Wash the car well, don't worry about drying it . (here's a thing to try, run your hand acrosss the hood, feel those little grainy things? that's crap in your clear, it will go away) spray a small area with your favorite spray detailer (the mothers clay bar comes with a bottle) and flatten out the clay bar and run *gently* you dont have to exert pressure, just let it glide. wipe off the area with a clean microfiber cloth, repeat all over the car. work in small sections at a time. also, after every couple of sections, fold the bar over on itself a couple times and reflatten. once you're done wash it again, dry, and give it a good wax. Now run your hand across it..silky smooth
oh yeah. If you happen to drop your clay bar on the floor, THROW IT AWAY, it just became a block of gooey sandpaper. get a fresh one.

| ^^ What Big J & Bit said. Cripsy, if u want help just gimme a shout. Also, I use a killer wax called "Liquid Lustre". You can get it online (even eBay) or at the Speed Shop just South of Country Club/Main. I used it back when I detailed professionally & I like it the best out of everything I've used. I do use Meguiar's stuff too, but prefer the LL...//TJ | |

| Man, you guys got me all motivated. I spent the last few hours wet sanding & buffing the rear bumper. Man, what a crappy re-spray that was, & I haven't even started on the front bumper...//TJ

Thanks TJ, I will check out the LL, I wanna do Ambers now, and I would really like to use the best. if it's a new paint job and the painter was worth a crap you shouldn't have to. Feel it, is it glassy or gritty?

| ahh, just remember, keep the surface WET with the spray and rub gently, if you feel it grabbing, you're pushing too hard or your surface needs more spray. Slow and steady is the key. Meguiars has a some videos on their site showing teh process. watch them | |
