| So I'm thinkin of doing air in the near future and I know other people have questions about air ride besides me. I know this is in the 1st gen section but we can cover all makes/models here.
Question #1 What size tank do we need for regular front/back only and how many compressors and what size would be ideal for this setup?
Question #2 Are easy street setups shit?

| From what I am hearing, the Easy street front struts are really good, the rest of the kit is garbage. Just what I have heard. | |

| I had heard the fronts were garbage unless you got the cusco camber plates but I think they might've fixed it on the newer versions. | |

| for just front/back get a pancake tank or a small 3 gallon. should be plenty. on the compressor just depends on how fast you want your tank filled. | |

| There is a couple things here that you will need to think about.
One how fast do you want it? The smaller the air line and the smaller the valves the slower it goes.
How much play time do you want with it? The smaller the tank you have the less time you can sit and play with it before you run out of air.
How fast do you want it to refill? The smaller and lower quality compressors refill alot slower. I used Viair on mine. Great compressors but not exactly cheap.
How many switches do you want? You can do a very basic set up, that does front, back and pancake. Get away with 3 switches. Or you can do do front, back, side to side, Pancake, See Saw and 3 wheel. Usually a 10-12 switch set up.
How low do you want to go? Now the lower you go the more you will have to cut up as well. You can do a basic install and not cut anything. The more wheel you want to tuck and lower you go, the more you will have to cut. Could be just sheet metal all the way to floors and fenders. Just know it is addicting to get the thing lower.
That is just a couple things I could think of as well.

| no limitz basically covered it all. its just a matter of how intricate you want your set up to be. as far as maintenance, just checking for leaks and MAKE SURE to get water traps. i didnt get water traps and my valves got stuck once and my tank is RUSTY. overall its really easy, dont be intimidated. if you know how to do suspension work and wiring, youre good to go. | |

| Aluminum 5 gallon 9 port tank from www.avsontheweb.com is the way to go. Slam specialties re-6 on the rear, others will tell you Universal Airs bags for the rear as well, but the RE-6 gives hella lift...... fronts are debatable. Either way you go up front, you don't need camber plates, just camber bolts or smaller grade 10 bolts. Dual 400 Viair compressors are the best way to go. Fills the tank to 150psi pretty damn quick. I am running dual 480s BUT i wanted 200psi, so it takes a little bit to fill my tank back up. .02 | |

| This is all good info thanks i am looking to do a basic air ride hopefully soon to lift while in driving and hopefully get a Cadillac-isk feel well rolling. Appreciate the insight for sure. Having controllability is key on cali streets (especially in LA) | |
