DIY 2gen Borla Exhaust Install

K guys i dont post much on here. Figured i start, like many of the a-squad members i like doing my own projects. Heres my DIY Thread for the Borla Dual exhaust kit. Unfortunetly i sold this exhaust due to a chp officer giving me a modified emissions ticket. I tried arguing with him, anything before cat is considered modified. This kit is after cat and 50 state legal. I simply sold it to pay for the ticket. You win some, you loose some. Enuff chit chatter heres the thread on scion life.

Ahh crap ... When I did my exhuast I thought if I left the scuba tank on and kept it under the legal sound it would be carb legal... lol.

I guess Im cutting out a scuba tank today!

your problem was that you had more tips than stock, anyhting you do after the cat is legal as long as you have the same number of tips as stock, smog guy told me cuz i asked about modified exhuasts.

due to that fact dual wont smog?

im guessing thats what it is, since theirs two tips, the single sniffer probe will get a different reading or something.

damn however it should change emissions if you still have cat attached, right?

well it wont necesarilly change your emissions, but if you have two tips, atleast hlf of the normal emissions will be going out the other tip, and they only use one probe, so itll get different readings. maybe if you could use a silencer and pug it, then stick it in one tip so it plugs off that one for the test you might be good lol

man what a hassle cali is with this emissions stuff. the terminator of the imports strikes again. lol i hope my smog guy is still in business in a few years we may need some connects on this.
