check engine light..................

soo the other day i converted my cold air intake to short ram due to the crazy amounts of rain we were supposed to get...anyways did everything by the book...then next morning no rain..go figure right...soo i'm driving around and later that night i notice my check engine light came on...what can this be???HELP!!!!!!

either....

1. your MAF is just dirty
2. your MAF is fried
or hopefully
3. your ecu is still learning the new A/F ratio cause of your swap.

clean the MAF with electrical spray!
Rest your ecu by doing the battery reset.
Put a picture of what you did so i can see better.

how do i reset my ecu?

theres a fuse you pull and put back. i converted my cai into a short ram and no check engine light for me. try and clean your maf and see if that fixes it.

go to an auto parts store and ask for the cleaner for the maf.

Anytime I make changes to the intake, I let the car idle for a bit before driving.

That way the ECU re-learns and no CEL.

to clear the code, pull the 15 amp efi fuse located in the fuse block in the engine compartment. while the car is running pull the fuse out and wait about 10 to 15 secs, put the fuse back in and turn the car off, then start the car and it should be gone, if not you ahve a hard code and you need a scan tool to clear it.
