| I installed my mishimoto radiator and for one reason or another my car is stuck in fail safe mode.... Which means I can bring it up to about 2500 RPM's so in a real disaster I could try and limp it home. After scanning my car it said that the connection with my TPS: throttle positioning sensor wasnt working right so I changed it along with my new throttle body sadly that was not the problem. I also tried changing the MAF sensor seeing as how that is part of the TPS mapping... didnt work.
Im pretty much out of Ideas and I was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas as to what the problem could be. | |

| hmmm....did it need a new radiator cap for a different rating for any reason? is the thermostat installed backwards? have you fully burped the system? aka...gotten all of the air bubbles out of the coolant passages? have you tried calling mishimoto? they did give it to you as a sponsor right? i still worry that they gave you one for the wrong transmission setup and told you about it, to me that means they weren't sure whether it would work or not. | |

| They gave me a trans cooler to attatch to the radiator. so I figure that would take care of the transmission. I've been burping the coolent catch... should I be burping it from the radiator? | |

| It would be a major pain in the ass but what you could do is reinstall the stock radiator and see if it works if it does then you would know that what they gave you is the wrong one. Just a thought its what I would do if it was my car | |

| This mod seems like waaay too much work even if it is sponsored. I'm glad I only have high quality sponsors such as Topline | |

| Well the stock radiator is back in. The car is low on fluid but it seems to be running a little better. The problem isn't fixed but at least it feels like a step in the right direction. | |

| I'm with Enzo on his advice. A lot of the time it's something as simple as a radiator cap being the wrong pressure. | |

| Don't tell them of the install for fear of voiding any warranties and make sure they tell you what was wrong with it. Also take a quick look at all your bolts to make sure they were not painted to see if they have been tampered with. Good luck bro. | |
