| i installed my new rotors and brakes a while ago and saw that in a picture of another xb the rotor slots where facing the other direction. are mine wrong or does the direction matter. this is probably a stupid question but i thought that i would check. thank you if you cant really tell in the picture i made this and see how cinders go the other direction | |

| Thats funny, I have had the same exact question. I have them facing the same way as Cinder and it has been bugging the hell out of me because I think they might be backwards. | |

| According to Cinder, the rotors actually go backwards so that they have "more bite". Does someone have some type of documentation about this? | |

| mine are stamped R and L too, their on correctly, notice how the powerslots veins do the edge of the rotor, to expel gass, and their fore have the veins facing the rear, my veins do not reach the edge, and are engineered to work better with a semi or race compound pad (which i have EBC GREENS) which require an initial warm up to work properly, having the veins the way mine are elimantes that warm up time becuase theirs a little more bite, i dont get brake fade, and when i get on the brakes alittle, i can stop reall really really fast. its by mfg spec, or your preference, i always thought the same way you guys do, but i talked to and asked alot of people who race, auto-x, etc. and vein tip forward is for bite, and shorter hard drive times, veins facing rear is for longer endurance racing, to when the rotor would heat up more by sheer time then brake pressure. hope that clears things up. if you want, i can give you guys a ride and romp on the brakes lol. | |
